Healtheries entire range of supplements are moving to bottles made from environmentally-friendly sugarcane. This means we’re looking after the Planet as well as the health and well-being of New Zealanders. By changing from fossil-fuel based to sugarcane-based plastic, Healtheries is reducing its carbon emissions by an estimated 192 tonnes a year. The sugarcane used to make these bottles is ethically sourced, renewable and removes carbon from the atmosphere as it grows.
Healtheries have also removed the white colour pigment from their bottles to increase recyclability – meaning used bottles can be remade into more things.
And along with the new bottles comes new-look labels, making it easier for shoppers to choose the supplements that are right for them.
Rachel Brown, founder and CEO of the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) is applauding the Healtheries move. “SBN is delighted that Healtheries is introducing renewably sourced and recyclable plant-based bottles into its packaging range. By using sugarcane they lessen the use of non-renewable resources. It’s a win-win and a great move. We would love to see more of this from businesses.”
